Mindset Matters – Episode #69 – Holding Space and Humility

“Why the conversation about mindset and why is it important? It’s not just about success, it’s not about getting shit done, it’s not about being uber successful in business or in life. It’s really how we approach business, how we approach life. It’s actually all about us and how we view the world.” – Patrick Francey

    • Join Steffany and Patrick as they dive into the not so common ‘holding space’…. what it means and what it takes.
    • Holding space for others is a skill that requires awareness, humility, and empathy. Whether you are a speaker, leader, parent with kids in sports, or simply a member of a group or family, learning to hold space is essential for creating a safe and supportive environment for those around you. It means being present and actively listening to others without judgment or distraction, listening with compassion, and creating a space where people can express themselves freely. This requires a willingness to ‘park our ego’ put the needs of others first, to be attentive to their feelings and experiences, and to offer support and validation when needed. Whether it’s in the boardroom, the workplace, or at home with family, holding space is about creating a space where people feel heard, seen, and valued. With awareness and humility, we can learn to hold space for others, one-on-one or for many, and have a positive and meaningful impact on the lives of those around us.
