Bonus Episode: Mindset Matters – Episode #5 – The Champions Paradox

“Why the conversation about mindset and why is it important? It’s not just about success, it’s not about getting shit done, it’s not about being uber successful in business or in life. It’s really how we approach business, how we approach life. It’s actually all about us and how we view the world.” – Patrick Francey

    • Steffany Hanlen-Francey takes the reigns this week to dig into the Champions Paradox.
    • The journey of being a champion in your life takes a mindset that may feel like a stretch to many, but in truth it is quite obvious. What it takes is a simple, certainly not easy – ability to hold opposing thoughts in your mind at the same time. I call this the Champions Paradox. It occurred to me several years ago that something was different about the people I work with who were able to take their performance and results to a new level. For competitive athletes and anyone with the mindset of growth and possibility, it takes a specific awareness, training and habits. For example, in order to WIN, someone has to lose. In order to get stronger, you have to tear down your muscles for them to grow.
    • Getting “OK” with whatever it takes to get outside your limiting beliefs requires a shift of thinking that can be uncomfortable. To decide something means to “CUT”. Once you choose a path the other paths are no longer important. Many people chose indecision because of the unknown outcome of what “MAY” happen. Understanding paradox, and developing the cognitive ability to harness adversity is available to everyone. It’s a choice. To stretch beyond what you already know and believe is what it takes to evolve. The introduction of the concept of paradox is a gentle doorway into the journey of a Champion.
