  • [06:54] Risk to purchasing ratio. In times of uncertainty people need more trust and more time. This is why Krista believes in upping the marketing game in times of real uncertainty such as now. Make a stronger investment in your business and brand, while others are pulling back.

  • [18:48] Krista recounts her path from being realtor to being a realtor coach. She shares the background behind the marketing she now teaches, to illustrate what she feels is the difference between being a top performer like herself (135 transaction in one year, for 17 years!) and mediocrity.
  • [25:03] Krista talks about the roadblock that prevents people from showing up online and putting themselves in the spotlight. When we focus on being of service to others rather than making it about us, it’s a big step toward moving past that roadblock.
  • [27:15] The entrepreneurial drive. Krista journeys through her past which has most certainly informed her drive and determination. She had to do it for herself because there was nobody to do it for her. Krista further shares how she got started in real estate and her insecurities in the early days of marketing.
  • [31:46] Patrick and Krista agree that being on camera, is not easy! The end product may look as though it is, but there’s a lot that goes into it, often more so for women. In addition to the physical preparation, there is also the fears of judgment and imposter syndrome that almost everyone works through. Become the expert, understand your ideal client, be a solution to what they need – this all helps to fortify confidence.
  • [37:08] Circling back to her personal story, Krista affirms how her upbringing was the direct catalyst for her tenacity and resolve to succeed as a real estate agent. Her own experience was not going to be repeated with her daughters and she continues to make the choice of being intentional with her mindset and discipline.
  • [42:24] Krista talks about her book “Stop, Snap & Switch,” which explains how our brains work, and how we can train ourselves to continually interrupt our negative thoughts to unleash our limitless life. Release the excuses and we can set about to create a very intentional life.

  • [50:41] Ready, aim, fire! (or not). Krista observes a common quality in the clients she coaches that really holds them back from the achieving the outcomes they desire. There will never be the perfect time – do it now.
  • [53:29] Patrick builds on Krista’s point that to get to the success she has, there are going to be “failures,” they’re imperative to growth and they are opportunities to do things differently the next time. Rather than getting stuck, we need to understand that a decision simply leads to another decision.
  • 56:43] Krista shares the example in her life of building a new business, tailoring their content to the entirely wrong audience, and simply making a switch and figuring it out rather than allowing it to shut her down. She wouldn’t have known if she didn’t launch, so she took action and make the adjustments along the way.
  • [61:24] Krista shares a few books that have impacted her life.
  • [62:48] Let’s gather around the rapid fire! iPhone or Android; favourite swear word; room-desk-car; favourite bands; favourite movie; message at the pearly gates.
